DEAD TREE VALLEY KAYAK ADVENTURE

Chiloe Kayak at the Dead Tree Valley can be a unique experience that will make you feel transported to ancient times, surrounded only by the nature, in a pristine area at the end of the world.   

All rivers in the area are affected by the ocean tides of the Pacific Ocean close by.   At Mirador de Chepu – Chepu Adventures  you can rent kayaks and they will tell you how to use tides in your favour while kayaking, so after 3 or 4 hours you will get back little or not tired at all!       Life Jacket and communication device provided to be in contact with base at all times, for your security.

KAYAK AT DAWN

An awesome experience: A Mystic Adventure  Kayak at Dawn an overwhelming and mystic experience in a unique place where dead trees Flora and Fauna lives together in a wetland of log sculptures, place to alert senses in the sound of silence, mist and stars. The dawn announced with the first sun rays and wonderful bird symphony, time to paddle between Empires ruled by winged kings and river otters who observe, escort our kayaks in this living natural aquarelle.

Camping at Mirador de Chepu is available for early kayaking.  Upon request at your return you can enjoy a nice breakfast at our cafeteria.   Also you may download your camera to your pendrive or a CD.

WiFi availabe at our cafeteria and dormis.

HOW TO GET TO CHEPU

CHEPU is a small and unknown community of approximately 250 people.

Chepu is located 38.5 Kms SW of Ancud

BY BUS : Rural Bus runs twice a day (only Monday, Wednesday & Friday)) leaving Ancud at 6:30 a.m. from Esso Gas Station at A.Prat & Goycolea, and 4:00 p.m. from 3rd Floor at Bigger Supermarket - Rural Bus Station.   From Chepu to Ancud leaves at 7:30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. from Anguay Bridge or in front of Mirador de Chepu.

BY CAR :  From Ancud or Castro take Route 5.   You will find two roads to Chepu:  1) on Km 14,  right at Mechaico Bridge & 2) on Km 25, at the side of Restaurant El Transportista.   Both alternative roads get together at Coipomo.   Continue on the road until you see Chepu River to your left and we right at Km.13,2 right before a wind mill on the left hand side of road.
